Mari berkenalan dengan Ramses, kanak-kanak berusia 12 tahun dari Filipina. Ramses merupakan antara ribuan mangsa Typhoon Yolanda, di daerah Tacloban, iaitu kawasan paling teruk dipukul taufan ini .
Sewaktu team produksi tv “chasing wild weather” sedang membuat dokumentari tentang mangsa taufan Yolanda ini, secara tak sengaja mereka telah terserempak dengan Ramses.
Rakaman ini dibuat tanpa di rancang, tiada skrip disediakan. Tapi apa yang diluahkan oleh Ramses membuatkan Mikkel (ketua projek ini) hilang kata-kata.
Mari kita saksikan.
Mikkel : “Are you allright now? Is everything’s ok?”
Ramses : “Yes, I completely forgotten now”
Mikkel : “You have forgotten? How’s that? Why can you forget this?”
Ramses : “It’s just normal. We have this, the same problem along time ago. But we will recover quickly.”
Mikkel : “You will recover quickly?”
Ramses : “Yes we do. This place is still my house. My grandfather told me, he was born in Tacloban, he will die in Tacloban.”
Mikkel : “How old are you?”
Ramses : “12”
Mikkel : “12? And what kind of thought did.. did you make yourself when this… this happend?”
Ramses : “I just remember the things that… the things that make me happy. We have to move on. Philipinos are just simple, just simple people. We could just live on. Even when the relatives die, we could just still live on. Our babies just recovering, even when Yolanda he could just lucky. That’s why we are all happy. Nothing can stop us. Unless you fear death, nothing can help you.”
Dan tiada siapa menduga kanak-kanak setabah ini sebenarnya mengidap leukemia.
